A Kennebunk man faces drug charges after police arrested him Saturday afternoon with a large quantity of heroin.

Jason Alexander, 26, faces aggravated drug trafficking charges after he was stopped on the Mile Road in Wells at about 4 p.m. Saturday. Police say they found about 30 grams of suspected heroin and a small amount of suspected crack cocaine.

The arrest came after troopers learned the man would be in possession of the drugs.

Alexander was taken to York County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 28.
