Maine State Police say a 29-year-old man was killed late Friday night in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the Aroostook County town of Perham.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m., State Trooper Nathan Desrosier and Caribou Fire & Ambulance responded to the crash on Route 228, also known as the Perham Road.

According to a news release from Sgt. Jeff Clark, a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country minivan was traveling south at a high rate of speed, when it failed to negotiate a turn. The minivan went off the northbound side of the road, struck a culvert, became airborne and rolled over several times.

Police say 29-year-old Kyle Goding of Perham was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Goding died on scene as a result of his injuries.

Sgt. Clark said speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the fatal crash. The investigation is ongoing.
