Workin' 9 to 5!

On Monday, volunteers with Mainers for Fair Wages hit the streets of Augusta to thank low wage workers and to inform them about the campaign to raise the minimum wage on the ballot this November.

They conducted mini-flash mobs, by dancing through the Augusta Subway, KFC, Target and a convenience store, to the tune of Dolly Parton's classic "9 to 5".

The bill on the ballot would raise the minimum wage to $9.00 per hour in 2017 and by $1.00 per hour each year after that until it is $12.00 per hour in 2020.
