An artistically challenged woman tried and failed to pass this off as a Maine inspection sticker.

A for effort, F for artistic capabilities. The Livermore Falls Police Department took to Facebook yesterday to show how not to fake an inspection sticker. You also shouldn't use a summons as your 'canvas.' Oh the irony...

In the Facebook post the cops gave her a nicer score of 'B+ for her artistic abilities.' Even if your a skilled artist of the sharpie and construction paper variety, it's still illegal to do this. The Livermore Falls Police Department warns:

'TITLE 29-A, SECTION 1768.1
Display of Fictitious Certificate
A person commits a Class E crime if that person displays or permits to be displayed on a vehicle a certificate of inspection knowing the certificate to be fictitious or issued to another vehicle or issued without an inspection having been made.'

There is no shame in giving it your all. We just wanted to point out that this particular creation was a weak effort....
