A Mainer Goes Glamping In His Cool ‘Igloo Mansion’
You have never seen a snow fort quite like this.
Who is this guy?
Zachary Fowler is a true outdoorsman. He is a Vermont native, who moved to coastal Maine to become a wooden boat builder. He is much more than that, however! Zach and his family live in an “off-the-grid”, Yurt-style home. For those of you who don’t know what that means, a Yurt is a style of portable home that has a circular structure and has a one-room layout that houses multiple people.
Why he might look familiar
Zach also applied and won the History Channel show Alone where he survived for 87 days in Patagonia. During his time, he "caught and cooked" 63 fish and 2 birds. After winning the show, he started his own YouTube Channel, called Fowler's Makery and Mischief, to show us all of the cool adventures he has in the great outdoors. It is a huge hit, with an impressive 1.15 million subscribers.
Zach's ice home
At one time or another in life, we have all built a cool snow fort after a big storm, but Zach took it to the next level with his “Igloo Mansion” where he did some serious “glamping” in his snow fort palace that has to be seen to be believed. This thing is tricked out to the max.
This thing has it all! A very comfy bed, a TV, video games, movies, an air fryer, lots of snacks, and best of all…heat. Very impressive, Zach.
Zachary Fowler has a bunch of videos that showcase his time exploring the outdoors, including a 7 Day Maine Island Survival Challenge.
