Last night two president's munched on some good ol' Maine cookin'.

The first State Dinner in two years took place last night at the White House. On the menu, smoked Maine Rainbow Trout! The lucky company to provide the fishey? That would be Ducktrap River of Belfast.

President Obama served up a feast Tuesday night, joined by French President François Hollande. The trout was passed around during cocktail hour, served as a pre-dinner appetizer.

At dinner, the first course was American caviar from Illinois, potatoes and quail eggs with a traditional French sauce, a velouté. The main course was a dry-aged beef ribeye  from Colorado with some blue cheese from Vermont on top.

Vermont also provided the dinner with a sweet treat, fudge made from its maple syrup.
