So you're driving a stolen car while in possession of marijuana.  You're then pulled over by the cops who are responding to a "disturbance."  Not yet knowing that the car is stolen, the cops find the pot. You insist that the weed is not yours.  Why?  Well of course while defending your claim you tell the police that you just stole the car, and that it's the owner's pot!

It made sense to someone.

Douglass Glidden, 25, of Jay, did not want to be busted for pot possession so he offered up the worst of two evils in his defense.  Somehow it didn't work out.

Glidden is now facing charges for operating under the influence and theft by unauthorized taking, and yes a civil offense for possessing a useable amount of marijuana.
