Maine Island Trail Association Releases New Version Of Their App

If you LOVE the coast of Maine, then here's an app for you!

The Maine Island Trail Association, along with Chimani, Inc. of Portland, have released the latest version of their Maine Island Trail mobile app! Hey, it's free, so check it out.

I downloaded it today and put it on my iPhone! You'll find  everything that you'd need to know about the 375-mile recreational waterway trail that stretches across more than 200 islands from Kittery to Eastport.  If you're planning any sort of trip off shore or even along the shore, then you'll find this app very interesting.

Check out stuff like: Camping sites, tides, anchorages, hiking trails, boat launches, hand carry launches, pumpout stations, a "real - time" calendar of events, and sunrise and sundown times and along with top viewing locations.

One very cool thing about the app are the interactive maps, they work via GPS so you don't need cell or WI-FI service.
