Maine Craft Beers Rank Among the Best in the Nation

Sam Adams isn't top brew anymore!

Congratulations to Yuengling beer, the new best selling craft beer in the U.S.A. 'Merica! The National Brewer's Association released list of the 50 best selling craft beers in 2014. Among those 50, five breweries are from New England; two of the five are from Maine!

Portland's Shipyard Brewing Company came in at #25 and Allagash Brewing Company came in at #42.

No tears in their Sam Adams beers at Boston Beer Company. Their second in the nation. Another Boston brewer, Harpoon Brewery, comes in at #15. Vermont's Long Trail Brewing Company is #30.

Shipyard and Allagash also made the top 50 overall best selling U.S. brewing companies. Shipyand was #31 and Allagash hung on at #50. Anheuser-Busch was #1, Miller Coors was #2 and Pabst Brewing Company took third place.
