...You just can't make this stuff up.

According to our media partners at WGME 13, a transient man from Lewiston is behind bars after he allegedly threatened a Big Apple clerk who wouldn't sell him beer with a samurai sword.

Joshua Kyle, 28, attempted to purchase alcohol with a minor when he was refused service by a store clerk. He then threatened to unsheathe a four-foot samurai sword that he was carrying at his hip, according to the Sun Journal.

He left the store on foot, and the clerk then called 911.

He is charged with criminal threatening, a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison and/or a $5,000 fine, and is being held on $260 bail in the Androscoggin County Jail.
