The Boston Red Sox have traded two time World Series champion pitcher Jon Lester to Oakland in exchange for power hitting outfielder Yoenis Cespedes.Lester who is a free agent at the end of the season couldn't reach a contract extension with the Sox who sent him packing along with Jonny Gomes to the west coast. In return, Boston gets Cespedes who is one of the top power hitters in the majors. The two-time defending homerun derby champ is batting .256 with 17 homers and 67 rbi this season. In addition to a powerful bat he also has a cannon for an arm.

He is under contract through next season for $10.5 million dollars.
