The contest to own this 98-year-old theatre has been extended through the rest of this month in order for current owner Mike Hurley to collect more entries.

After failed attempts to sell the property Hurley decided to do an essay contest where you could own the theatre with a $100 entry fee and the best 250-word essay about why you should be the new owner of the Temple Theatre.

The contest was set to expire January 15th as it says on the entry website, however Hurley has extended it in order to receive more entries. He hopes to receive at least 3,500.

The theatre has 2 screens with a balcony and seats 200 each. The second floor consists of 4,200 square feet of office space and a 2,000 square-foot apartment.
