Lena Dunham Once Asked a Sex Columnist for Advice About Being a 19-Year-Old Virgin [PHOTOS]

'Girls' creator and star Lena Dunham may depict a lot of sex on her HBO show, but as she shared with her Instagram followers on Thursday, she wasn't the sexed-up teen you might have imagined. In fact, she was still a virgin at 19.

Dunham, 27, used the occasion of "throw-back Thursday" -- an informal online custom of posting old photos or other memorabilia on Thursdays -- to provide proof that eight years ago, she needed a little advice of the bedroom variety:

She then posted a series of shots showing the print version of the column that included her question (which was basically "I'm still a virgin -- do I have to tell the person who winds up punching my v-card?") and Jamie's answer, which she called "generous."
