Nearly three years have passed since Glee actor Cory Monteith was found dead of an apparent drug overdose in a Vancouver hotel room at age 31. While fellow co-stars have paid tribute to him in numerous ways over the years, usually posting photos and anecdotes about the late actor on the anniversary of his death, former girlfriend Lea Michele decided to commemorate Monteith's memory with something more permanent.

Michele unveiled a new tattoo of the number '5' on Twitter today (April 12), a reference to Monteith's Glee character Finn Hudson and his football jersey number. She captioned the photo, "And one more... for my quarterback."

Michele -- who first met Monteith while filming Glee and subsequently dated him from 2011 until his untimely death in 2013 -- reportedly has another tattoo on her ribcage dedicated to the late actor. The text reads, “If you say so,” which is the title of a song she wrote about Monteith that appears on her debut album Louder.

Michele similarly honored her late grandmother, who passed away recently, with a tattoo of a coffee cup.

“I lost my beautiful grandma this week,” she explained in a caption on Instagram. “She gave me my first cup of coffee when I was 8 years old. She said something inappropriate to every boyfriend I’ve ever had. She never made pie or knit me a sweater. But she was my grandma and I loved her… More than anything. I love you Grandma."
