Sadly, I left porn off the list...kidding.

With the Academy Awards ceremony almost upon us, I decided to sit and think of 10 of my favorite movies of all-time. I would have listed my ten favorites from this year, but I am woefully behind on all of that.

So here in no particular order, are ten flicks that I love and have been quoting for years. I had to leave many off, or just plain forgot them.

"Good Will Hunting" made stars of Ben and Matt and deservedly so. They also shared an Oscar for best screenplay.

"Boogie Nights" is so much more than the subject matter of the film. The acting is stellar, the music is mind blowing and I am a big fan of the director Paul Thomas Anderson, who's films "Magnolia" and "There Will Be Blood" are also amazing.

"The Breakfast Club" A rite of passage for teenagers of any generation. I remember paying to see this several times and my dad thought I was nuts. Sappy to say, but it had a profound impact on me as a kid.

"Goodfellas" is the perfect movie to see on the big screen and I was lucky enough to do so at Bangor Mall Cinemas waaaay back in the day.

"Fast Times at Ridgemont High" Probably the movie my friend Jim and I have quoted more than any other.

"The Shawshank Redemption" Whenever this is on television, I have to stop what I'm doing to watch.

"High Fidelity" This is one time where the movie was as good as the book and I LOVED the book. Love everything about this movie and John Cusack is the man.

"Dazed and Confused" This started out as a small independent movie when it came out twenty years ago and now is regarded as a classic. This is the movie that made Matthew McConaughey a star...a star by the way who should bring home the best actor Oscar on Sunday night.

"The Godfather" I love parts 1&2! Marlon Brando is a hero of mine. I have read many books about his genius, which is on full display here, as is some dude named Al Pacino.

"One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" This the quintessential Jack Nicholson movie.
