Karmin Wins Rolling Stone’s ‘Women Who Rock’

Rolling Stone magazine announced today that Karmin, made up of keyboardist Nick Noonan of Old Town and his fiancee Amy Heidemann, have won the magazine's "Women Who Rock" contest.

Watch the video above for their reaction to the news and their special message to their fans. Based on fan voting, (including yours) Karmin bested the contest's other finalist, London-based singer Rita Ora.

As a result, Heidemann will appear on the Sept. 28 cover of the magazine, and Karmin will be featured inside along with other female artists.

Local fans will get a chance to see the duo on Saturday, when they are scheduled to serve as grand marshals of the Old Town Riverfest parade.
