The Maine State Lottery is changing the name of its instant scratch tickets to "Kwikies." The idea is supposed to be that the tickets are quick, easy, and fun! But it won't be very fun for the cashiers who have folks walking up, asking for a kwikie. So what do you think? Is it a good name?

I spent 6 years as a cashier at Snow's Corner Store in Orrington and, in that time, sold a LOT of scratch tickets. I can definitely see how it would be uncomfortable to constantly be asked for a kwikie. I mean, there's enough flirting that goes on without the extra help! On the other hand, I think most customers will still just call them scratch tickets, so maybe it's not such a big deal.

Tell us what you think. Is "Kwikie" a good name for Maine's scratch tickets? Or is it inappropriate?
