Both Matthew McConaughey and Christopher Nolan were surprise guests at Comic-Con 2014 this past weekend, and it wasn't just their presence that was a surprise for those in attendance. They also brought along the first look at the new 'Interstellar' trailer, which completely wowed the audience. If you weren't in San Diego to see it, don't worry, we've got you covered.

The new trailer debuted online this afternoon at the newly relaunched 'Interstellar' web site, accessible with the code 7201969, which just happens to be the date that Apollo 11 landed on the moon. You can also download a 1080p copy of the 'Interstellar' trailer by clicking here.

As for the trailer itself...well, it's beautiful. We tend to overuse the word epic to describe something like a iPhone video of someone falling down, or a really good hamburger. THIS. This is epic. And, the best part is that it's still largely a mystery. We get to see some new glimpses of the outer space world, but beyond that, all we really know is that Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway go into space to save the world, while McConaughey leaves behind his young daughter, Murph (played in the future by Jessica Chastain). There's so much more to learn and explore and experience in this world that we can hardly wait for November.

This online player seems almost comically too small for something of this scale, so we should note that this new 'Interstellar' trailer will be in theaters this weekend with 'Guardians of the Galaxy.'
