Innkeeper Offers New Essay Contest to Win the Blue Hill Inn

After the popularity of a similar contest with the Central Lovell Inn, another innkeeper has decided to hold her own essay contest. Become the owner of a million-dollar inn with 200 words and an entry fee.

Current Inn owner Sarah Pebworth has run the Blue Hill Inn for the past 8 years and is ready to move on but hopes to find the right person or people to take over the beautiful 1840's seaside inn.

Sarah is asking for an entry fee of $150 and an essay around 200 words. The entries can be submitted online or via snail-mail. They must be submitted by October first and decisions will be made by November first. Sarah will first choose the top 100 then submit those to judges who have no connections to the inn.

Only stipulations are the property must be continued to be run as a B&B for at least one year, and it must remain white with green shutters for at least one year. If she receives the minimum 7,500 or more entries, she’ll also give $25,000 to the new owners to help jump-start their new business.
