In the tradition of Punxsutawney Phil on Groundhog's Day, a lobster in Belfast has told us not to put away our shorts just yet!

A group of Belfast business owners calling themselves the Ten Belfast Barons have started what they hope with be a new Labor Day tradition.  Here's how it worked out:

This past Monday morning, a lobster, whom they named Passy Pete, the Clairvoyent Crustacean,  was taken from the waters of the Passagassawakeag River and then somehow lead to the shore of the Belfast waterfront by the Ten Barons, dressed appropriately in top hats and tuxes, of course.  Passy Pete then directed them to a scroll that said summer would last for another six weeks.

Now we don't have the video of the actual ceremony to confirm this, but we'll take six more weeks of summer any day!
