Mask Up Maine, and together we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

"Keep it Maine" was an initiative started last spring, by the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, to shout out all of us in here Maine who have been doing the right thing to fight COVID-19. Simple things like keeping our 6-feet of social distance, using face mask coverings when out in public, and of course, washing our hands vigourosly and often. Thanks to all of these efforts, Maine helped flatten the curve over the summer, and things slowly started to open up again, after three pretty rough months. However, now that winter is here, there has been an unfortunate uptick in cases, and sadly, deaths. With this in mind, and vaccines finally within sight, "Keep It Maine" is making a renewed push to make sure we all stay safe.

Several well known folks with ties to Maine have recorded public serveice announcements to encourage people to chip in and do their part. Mc Dreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey, Bangor's most famnous resident, Stephen King, and Boston Celitcs big man, Taco Fall, who spent quite a bit of time with the Celtics G-League team, the Portland Red Claws, are just a few who participated in the "Kep It Maine" initiative.

And last week, the Z Morning Show was honored to interview Maine CDC director, Dr. Nirah Shah, who emphasizesd how all of us can "Keep It Maine" as we head into 2021.
