A single-vehicle accident on I-95 this morning sent a Connecticut man to the hospital.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the accident happened at mile 146 in Pittsfield. A pickup truck driven by 64-year-old Roger Look of Merdian, Connecticut drifted into the median and then back onto the pavement. It flipped several times before finally coming to rest in the ditch.

Emergency crews had to extricate Look from the vehicle. He was then taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic was reduced to one lane for about an hour. No charges are expected.
