How To Throw Away Your Christmas Tree In Bangor & Brewer

Residents of both Bangor and Brewer can discard their holiday tree at no charge!

In Bangor, you can either drop off your tree at the Public Works building at 530 Maine Avenue during the daylight hours, or, throw it out to the curb for pickup between January 2nd and 11th.

In Brewer, you can either drop off your tree at the Brewer Landfill at 403 Elm Street (Sid Arey Drive), or, at the Brewer Auditorium, inside the lower gate off Wilson Street, until Sunday, January 21st.  As is usual, trees will not be collected curbside in Brewer.

In both cities, trees must be stripped bare of all wires and decorations.  Do not wrap your tree in plastic.  Wreaths will not be accepted, and are still considered household trash. Trees will be chipped by Public Works and may be used within the city or sold for bio mass.
