Hollywood Casino To Open New Bangor Restaurant

Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway announced Wednesday it would open a new restaurant in its Bangor facility focusing on Maine beer.

The restaurant is expected to open in December. It will be called Hops House 99, and replace the Celebrity Bar & Grill.

Casino officials say the new restaurant will feature 99 different beers, hence the name, available to customers. Many of those beers will be from local brewers, they said.

“One of the industries that has really taken off in the past few years in Maine is craft brewing, and for good reason,” said Jose Flores, General Manager of Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway. “We have some really talented brewers in this state putting out a great product, and we’re excited to be able to give our customers – both our local customers and visitors to the area - a taste of what Maine has to offer.”

Celebrity opened inside Hollywood Casino in 2014, but with the continued uprising of Maine brewing, casino officials.said a change made sense.
