Hirundo Wildlife Refuge To Host Winter Fun Days This Saturday in Old Town

This Saturday, Hirundo Wildlife Refuge in Old Town is the place to be for the whole family.  They will be hosting Winter Fun Days where you can enjoy dog sled rides and lots of outdoor winter activities like snowshoe racing, cross country skiing, snow sculptures and lots of other things for all ages!

The event runs from 10 AM to 3 PM and you can expect all kinds of winter time events including the Hirundo's biathalon, which includes snowshoe races and ball toss.

You can also check out a guided winter ecology hike through the park's wilderness trails, try out snowshoeing or cross country skiing, try your hand at the snow sculpture contest and cheer on the dog sledders.

There will be food to purchase and a heated tent as well.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 College students and kids are free.
