Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber are among the 10 highest-paid artists in music according to Forbes, but they’re still far behind several veteran rock singers and 47-year-old rapper Dr. Dre, who tops the annual celebrity income list.

Dre’s $110 million fortune came mostly from his Beats line of headphones. He far outdistanced Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, who placed second with $88 million. Spears is the highest-earning artist younger than 40, placing 7th overall with an income of $58 million. That total doesn’t include the $15 million she’s making as a judge on ‘X Factor,’ since the Forbes list was compiled based on earnings from May 2011 to May 2012.

Swift and Bieber rank 8th and 10th with $57 and $55 million, respectively. Both young stars had a variety of income streams, from album sales to touring to endorsement deals. In fact, many of the top earners made the majority of their income from endorsements, clothing lines and other business dealings. Rihanna and Lady Gaga both exceeded $50 million, thanks in part to sales of their fragrances.

Others in Forbes’ Top 25 list include Diddy, Katy Perry, Adele, Coldplay and Kanye West. Both Jay-Z and Beyonce make the list, but Bey is the breadwinner in the household. Her $40 million haul edges out her hubby’s total of $38k.
