Let the killing sprees commence! Halo 5: Guardians' multiplayer beta begins on Dec. 29, 2014 and to help hype up the fans, developer 343 Industries has put together a trailer highlighting some of the shiny new features to be found in the latest iteration of this juggernaut franchise.

Okay, so, while that overly-hyper trailer wasn't the greatest thanks to editing so quick, it made it tough to follow the excitement, it did give us quick glimpses of some of the new features of Halo 5's multiplayer.

Taking a note from Destiny's Striker class, Spartan combatants now have the option of using a ground pound ability to rain death from above. There also looks to be a Vanquish-style slide (although probably sans the awesome slow-mo), some new explodey, stabby weapons which fit alongside most of the typical Halo arsenal and a number of new maps.

According to 343 Industries, the beta will be three weeks long, offering 4v4 arena matches. During each week, they will offer new content, including additional maps, weapons, modes, a competitive skill rating system and a spectator mode if you just want to kick back and watch people teabag each other.

The Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta is open to anyone who owns Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and runs from Dec. 29, 2014 through Jan. 18, 2015. The game itself arrives in the latter half of 2015.
