‘Free Weed 4 Veterans’

A Montville dude has a totally righteous way of supporting veterans!

A local medical marijuana grower had an eye popping sign strapped to the roof of his car along route three in Belmont yesterday. It read: 'Free Weed 4 Veterans,' and he meant it! Randy Hayes wanted to take advantage of the holiday yesterday to help those who have served our country.

Hayes packed three ounces of pot he grew at his farm, Five Star Pharm, then sat and waited. The stash he was giving away bud by bud had a street value of about $750. As intrigued as folks were, they had to have their medical marijuana card to take part.

Hayes said the give away was his way of giving back, and also spreading the word about the positive uses of pot.
