The crowds have thinned and now is the time to check out a Maine treasure.

Saturday, Sept. 22 is National Public Lands Day, so there won't be any admission charge to America's national parks, including our very own piece of Eden, Acadia.

Now's the time to load the kids into the mini-van and take 'em for a ride to Sand Beach, the summit of Cadillac Mountain and Thunder Hole.

Normally, it costs $30 per carload to gain admission to Acadia, but this Saturday that charge is being waived!  For more information about Acadia National Park's admission charges, go HERE.
