The Maine nonprofit organization Health Equity Alliance is putting on the first Down East AIDS Walk happening this Saturday, September 29th in Bar Harbor. The walk will be fun for all ages and is being put on to help raise awareness surrounding HIV and AIDS but also to reduce stigma by highlighting progress made in research, treatment, prevention, and the increased quality of life of people living with HIV and AIDS.

The walk will start at the Village Green in Downtown Bar Harbor at 9 AM and is scheduled to end at 11 AM.

Preregistration is already completed by you may register at the event prior to the start of the walk for $35 at 9 AM.

Health Equity Alliance is a Maine nonprofit organization that empowers marginalized community to improve their health and wellbeing and affect social and cultural change through education, advocacy and action.
