Notice anything familiar in the trailer?

Yep, Muscongus Bay is the backdrop for a low-budget horror flick titled 'Pod.' Last February and March (2014) a film crew took over a cabin off the Back Shore Road in Round Pond. The flick is scheduled to premiere South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas March 16th.

According to the festival website Pod will be a part of the all horror 'Midnighter's' line up.

Director and screenwriter Mickey Keating told the BDN the movie 'follows a brother and sister who hold an intervention on their increasingly erratic brother, and as they arrive at his isolated lake house, they find out the situation is far worse than they anticipated.'

The cabin where the movie was shot belongs to the family of William Frank, who is a producer on the film. They also shot a scene at King Ro Market.
