The L.L. Bean 100th anniversary tarp that covered the infield of Fenway is being recycled in a very L.L. Bean way.

Rain delay; cue the infield cover! Last year L.L. Bean celebrated their 100th anniversary with a massive infield tarp at Fenway. Now what to do with a massive tarp? Turn it into tote bags!

The company cut the tarp up in an airplane hanger in southern Maine. The hanger is the only building large enough handle the project of cutting the tarp up.

The bags will individually numbered with green handles and a baseball diamond recognizing the 100th anniversary.

They will make 2,012 tote bags out of the material and will sell for 59.95. The bags go on sale tomorrow (4-23) and are limited to one per person.
