Oh joy, Old Man Winter has finally gone bye-bye, and now Mother Nature is getting ready to release her flock of biters!

The National Pest Management Association has released their predictions as to what sort of blood sucking insects with wings will be hunting humans down for supper.

Here in the Northeast, the Association's "Bug Barometer" doesn't really tell us anything new:  "Extreme cold may impact stinging insect populations and delay termite swarm season. Standing water from snow-melt may increase mosquito populations."

Not good news for folks working in the woods during mud season.

Nowhere does it mention anything about black flies or ticks.  So, I guess we're home-free in those categories.  At least according to the National Pest Management Association.
