Mainely Improv to Host Comedy Night

Please join us on November 16th at 7PM for a night of fun and laughter! The Penobscot Valley High School class of 2016 will be hosting Mainely Improv for a comedy show to raise money for the class prom and senior trip. The doors will open at 6PM with the show starting at 7. We will be having an intermission were snacks and drinks can be purchased.
Mainely Improv, a popular improvisational comedy troupe, brings its madcap antics to Penobscot Valley High School - Howland, ME.
Much in the style of television’s, “Whose Line Is It, Anyway?” the troupe makes up comedy “on the spot” based entirely from audience suggestions. “The one thing that is predictable about improv comedy is that it is totally unpredictable,” said Dan Marois, who with his wife, Denise, produce Mainely Improv. “We have no idea what we are going to do when the show begins and we rely on the wit and genius of the audience to give us outrageous situations to perform throughout the evening.”The Mainely Improv cast includes Dan Marois of Poland Spring, Julie Poulin of Monmouth, Brian Files of Gardiner, Marie Stewart of Portland, and Bob LeBlanc of Newburyport, Massachusetts.“This team of performers has worked together for many years,” said Marois. “Knowing each other so well, they play off each other’s comic timing to make a truly memorable evening of comedy.”Mainely Improv is an off-shoot from Mystery for Hire, Maine’s most popular mystery dinner theatre troupe. They have performed over 500 shows to over 150 clients to audiences totaling 40,000. Tickets for the show are $10. Please pick up your ticket from any PVHS Sophomore or tickets can be purchased at the door.
Reservations can be made by calling 732-4187, ask for Karen. For more info on improv comedy or mystery dinner theatre, go to www.mysteryforhire.com.
