Ellsworth police are investigating a robbery today at the High Street branch of Key Bank. Police say the robbery happened just before 2 this afternoon. Now police say the man got into a pickup truck after leaving the bank.

Ellsworth Police Chief John DeLeo said in a press release today that a small statured man walked up to a teller in the bank and demanded cash. He wore a hat or hood, sunglasses, a mask covering his nose, and he had gloves on. The clothing was all grey or black and the man was carrying a green soft side cooler he used to carry out an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was displayed in the robbery and no one was injured. Police said this afternoon that surveillance video shows the suspect getting into the driver's side of a dark-colored, full-sized extended cab pickup. The truck was parked in the middle of the LL Bean parking lot.
