According to website Rantplaces.com the biggest Maine stereotype is "All Mainers eat is lobster, or put lobster on everything". But how true is that really? It's time for the Mainers who don't eat lobster to come forward to break this stereotype!

If you are born and raised it is assumed you are a lobster consumer. Growing up in Maine my whole life I have been asked many times how I like my lobster only to shock and almost terrify the person asking. My response is always a honest yet ashamed, "I don't eat lobster". After that I get frantic questions like "Why?" "How could you not?" "What's wrong with you?" or "You can't possibly be from Maine".

According to Co. Design and the food industry analytics firm Food Genius, lobster is not the most consumed food in Maine. Chowder is!
