State police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Sherman over the weekend as a homicide.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy Monday on the body of Douglas Morin, 31, of Oakfield, the Maine Department of Public Safety said in a new release.

The cause of death is not being released, but the medical examiner’s office determined the death was a homicide, the release said.

Morin's body was found in a vehicle on PD Road, which is located off Cold Brook Road.

A team of detectives has been working on the case since they were called to the scene Sunday at about 10:30 a.m.
