State Police say a Clinton man is in custody after fleeing from State Troopers this morning in connection with a domestic violence complaint. A woman who threatened police with a bat also faces charges.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says 31-year-old Michael Savage ran from the Hinckley Road residence this morning when the police were investigating the complaint. Savage is prohibited from having any contact with the woman who lives at the home.

The troopers' pursuit of the man was slowed when the woman, identified as 30-year-old Katrina Bouchard of Clinton, attempted to assault the police with a baseball bat. She faces a charge of obstructing government administration.

The manhunt included police canines and an airplane. Savage was taken into custody just before noon at a house in Clinton.
