Chris Brown's probation is officially over. His 2009 court case that resulted from the vicious assault of his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, was closed by a judge after it was determined that Brown completed his mandatory hours of community service.

According to E! News, despite the many court appearances Brown has been forced to make over the years after questions were raised of possible parole violations, it turns out he did not violate the terms of his community service. Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin closed the case -- in which Brown was charged with felony assault -- and announced the end of Brown's probation. Brown tweeted about the closing of the case, writing, "IM OFF PROBATION!!!!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!!!!"

Hours earlier he implored his followers to pray for him when he wrote, "Hopefully this is my last day in court..... Pray for me.."

Brown is no stranger to legal troubles. He was recently denied entry into Canada hours before he was set to perform a sold out show in Montreal. He informed fans on Twitter, by writing a tweet that has since been deleted that said, "The good people of the Canadian government wouldn’t allow me entry. I’ll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!” While the Canadian government did not specify as to why Brown was turned away from the border, law states that a person may be denied entry if they have a criminal record.

Rihanna, meanwhile, recently referred to her past dating life -- and, we assume, Brown -- while promoting her upcoming movie Home. She told TIME, "I fell in love with the Beast. That’s pretty much my dating record so far.”
