Avril Lavigne has moved on from a Skater Boy to a Rockstar?

Wasn't Avril Lavigne once married to that Punk from Sum 41?? Maybe that marriage didn't pan out but it seemed like a likely match, right? Have you heard who just popped the question to the Pop Star? People magazine reports that Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger proposed to Avril on August 8th. In this case I sure hope opposites really do attract.

Apparantly the new couple came together in February to co-write a song for Lavigne's fifth studio album. Just six months later, Chad pulls out a 14-carat diamond???? Forgive me for thinking that this won't last much longer than most whirlwind celebrity marriages.
