Two people were taken to the hospital after their car slammed into the back of a school bus Friday morning.

Maine State Police Trooper Paul White says the driver, Andrew Jacobsen (30), and his grandmother, Marion Veino (79), the passenger, were on the Kennebec Road when his car hit the back of a Newburgh school bus and was lodged underneath.

Both were said to have non-life threatening injuries. None of the children on board the bus were injured and they were then taken to school by a different bus. No charges will be filed.
