Bucksport Teen Dies in Crash

High school officials in the town of Bucksport are dealing with the loss of a student today.

Bucksport police say two teen girls were traveling on the Bucks Mills road around 6:22 p.m. on Thursday when the female driver lost control of the vehicle.

The crash claimed the life of her passenger, Taylor Darveau, who was a student at Bucksport High School.

No immediate details were available from the police department regarding the condition of the teen driver.

What caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle is under investigation.
