'Breaking Bad' may be over, but there's still plenty of love to go around for the series at tonight's 2014 Emmy Awards, as Bryan Cranston has just been given the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Other nominees included Oscar winners Kevin Spacey for 'House of Cards' and Matthew McConaughey for 'True Detective.'

This is Cranston’s fourth Emmy award for his performace as Walter White in ‘Breaking Bad,’ which concluded its critically acclaimed five-year run last fall. The series followed the journey of chemistry teacher Walter White (Cranston) and his former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) into the underworld of New Mexico’s crystal meth empire.

It was tough competition out there for Cranston tonight, as many suspected he might be outdone this year by McConaughey's dark and moody performance on the freshman season of HBO's 'True Detective.' But the four-time Emmy winner prevailed with a triumphant final bow for Walter White.
