Mason’s Brewing Company, the third brewery to open in Brewer in the last two years, will host its grand opening on Friday, May 20 at 3:30 p.m. at their location on 15 Hardy Street (off South Main Street), and the end of the City of Brewer’s Riverwalk Trail.

Owner Chris Morley will be joined by US Senator Susan M. Collins at the event. Morley said Collins played a pivotal role in helping the brewery get their required federal permits on schedule. In years past,  Collins also secured funding for the Riverwalk Trail where the 175 seat restaurant and brewery are now located.

“I am grateful to the Senator and her office for helping me secure my federal permits on time – if she hadn’t intervened, we wouldn’t be having this Grand Opening celebration right now. Her commitment to the success of small business is a fantastic example of her dedication to our state. Through the help of many partners and many late nights devoted to the planning of this business, I’m thrilled to finally be open on the Brewer waterfront!” said owner Chris Morley.

Brewer Mayor Bev Uhlenhake remarked, “The City of Brewer welcomes Mason’s Brewing to our waterfront area and we are thrilled to have Chris redevelop a previously vacant and underused lot. Along with City staff, Chris has worked tirelessly to see this project through to completion. His work ethic is second to none and his vision for the brewery and restaurant has led to a wonderful new building and gathering place on our beautiful waterfront.”

Overflow parking is available across the street in the municipally-owned lot and along South Main Street. (Due to safety concerns, please note vehicles parked on either side of Hardy Street will be towed.)
