Vocal coaches will always say rock music is the hardest genre on your vocal capabilities. Bret knows a thing or two about keeping ones voice in tune. But what's the worst thing for your singing voice? Lack of sleep.

Bret says if your drained on-stage your voice sounds 'gravely.' He says sleep and exercise is best to help get your 'blood flowing.' He's right too!

A study in 2011 by the University of South Australia shows that fatigue will compromise ones vocal performance. Enough sleep also keeps stress levels in check, as well as spur creativity and improve memory. Proper sleep even boots the longevity of your singing voice.
