So much for a possible trap game, the New England Patriots scored early and often against the Jacksonville Jaguars in a blowout 51-17 win to improve to 3-0.The Pats scored on 9 of their 10 offensive possessions as the only possession that did not result in points was their final of the game when they took a knee to run out the clock. Tom Brady threw 2 touchdown passes, his first one went to Danny Amendola and was the 400th of his career. Brady joins Dan Marino, Peyton Manning and Brett Favre as the only others to accomplish that feat.

LeGarrette Blount rushed for 78 yards and scored 3 touchdowns, all on 1 yard runs. Newly acquired wide receiver Keshawn Martin had the other touchdown on a 13 yard pass form Brady.

Kicker Stephen Gostkowski also made history by making all 6 extra points and runs his consecutive extra point streak to 425 which is an NFL record.

The Pats defense only allowed 293 yards by the Jaguars and had an interception of Blake Bortles.

New England will have next week off as they get a bye before heading to Dallas on October 11 to face the Cowboys.
