Botched Robbery Video from Sanford Goes Viral [VIDEO]

An attempt to rob a Maine motel went wrong and the security video posted by Sanford Police last Tuesday went viral over the weekend and received some hilarious comments!

In what is now being called "the worst robbery attempt ever" by hundreds on the internet the suspect can be seen attempting to take a laptop at the front desk of a Motel 8 while holding a knife.

When his weak attempt at nabbing the laptop fails he grabs the candy dish, which appears to be empty... He shortly realizes this isn't something he really wants, so he goes for the computer monitor but ends up fleeing empty handed.

Viral video websites like LiveLeak and Reddit have been circulating the video since it was shared.

Sanford Police are asking for the public's help identifying the man.
