Boston No Longer Bidding to Host Olympics

NO OLYMPICS FOR YOU!

It would've been pretty cool to have the Olympic games here in New England, but it's a no go. Boston's bid to host the games is over. The city and U.S. Olympic Committee cut ties yesterday, ending the effort.

All is not lost though. The United States still could host the 2024 Summer Olympics. The U.S. Olympic Committee might push for Los Angeles as a substitute. They have until September 15th to officially name a candidate.

Los Angeles hosted the 1932 and 1984 Olympics.
