Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck By a Pickup
A Southern Maine man is dead after the bicycle he was riding was struck by a pickup truck.
The Portland Press Herald reports 34-year-old Joseph Lamothe was killed when his bicycle was struck by a pickup truck on Lisbon Street just after 5 p.m Thursday. The driver of the pickup, 52-year-old Henry Raymond Jr., was was taken to a Lewiston hospital with minor injuries.
Maine State Police spent Thursday night reconstructing the accident and continue to investigate the cause and circumstances of the crash.
