We always like to pass along the word about a benefit that will help someone out!

On Sunday, March 8th, between 1 and 6 that afternoon, there will be a benefit event for Deanna Allen of Bangor.  Deanna is suffering from ovarian cancer and is currently going through chemo treatments.  As you can imagine, this is a very tough time for Deanna and her family.  To make matters worse, she has not been able to work since November.

Deanna Allen has been an educator in our area for many years, most recently a second grade teacher in Milo.  Before that she was  a teacher at the 14th St. School, the  Downeast School, and was an Ed. Tech in the special education program in Bangor.  Deanna has a daughter currently attending UMO.  One of her friends said of her on Facebook recently, "Deanna is a people person, who is always there for any who need her."

That Sunday afternoon at the Spectacular Event Center on the Griffin Road in Bangor five great bands from our area will perform:

  • Desperado
  • REO (Ron Overlock & Friends
  • Overdrive
  • The Rick Carter Band
  • Sideways

A donation at the door is appreciated. An auction is also planned, along with 50/50 raffles.

Area merchants, community organizations and regular folk are all asked to donate!

There's a Facebook Event page for this, but to speak to a real person for more information about the event, to donate,  or to set up an item to auction, call Mark Ellis at 356-2515, or Don Clark at 667-2419.  Your help is appreciated!
